Growing Notes

• Light: Bright, indirect light; protect from strong direct afternoon sun

• Water: Water thoroughly, then allow approximately the upper inch or quarter of the medium to approach dryness before watering again; do not leave saturated

• Humidity: Average household humidity is tolerated, but consistent humidity around 50–70% supports smoother growth; pair with gentle airflow

• Temperature: Warm, stable conditions around 68–82°F; avoid cold drafts and abrupt changes

• Medium: Use an airy, bark-forward aroid mix that drains freely while retaining light moisture

• Support: Allow the plant to spread naturally or add a slim pole or plank for a more upright presentation

• Pruning: Trim or propagate longer stems as needed to maintain a compact, branching shape

These plants were propagated from an originally variegated Burle Marx that now appears to have reverted. The current plants are presenting as solid green and are being offered and priced as green plants. Variegation is not guaranteed, and buyers should not purchase with the expectation that it will return.

Good to Know

Burle Marx is a vigorous, naturally branching Philodendron that can fill out quickly in warm conditions with bright indirect light, regular feeding, and room for its stems to extend.

Although these plants descend from an originally variegated form, their current growth is solid green and appears reverted. Variegation may never return. This listing makes no promise of future variegated growth.

Philodendrons may respond to shipping or environmental changes by marking or retiring an older leaf. Allow the plant to acclimate before repotting or making major changes to its growing conditions.
