The Specimen
Originally propagated from a variegated Philodendron ‘Strawberry Shake’ mother plant in an attempt to encourage variegation to re-emerge. While this specimen has remained reverted, it has developed into a striking dark-form climbing philodendron with deep burgundy stems and glossy foliage that strongly resembles Philodendron ‘Dark Lord’ as it matures.
The Foliage
When allowed to climb and mature, the foliage becomes increasingly dramatic with elongated leaves and rich dark tones throughout the plant.
A beautiful option for collectors who appreciate structure, color depth, and uncommon growth character beyond variegation alone.

Growing Notes
Light: Bright, indirect light; protect foliage from harsh direct sun.
Water: Check the growing medium before watering. Water thoroughly as the upper layer begins drying, then drain excess water.
Medium: Use an airy, freely draining aroid mix; avoid prolonged saturation.
Conditions: Keep stable indoor warmth and moderate to elevated humidity with gentle airflow.
Support: Provide vertical support as climbing stems develop.
Provenance
Grown within my Harlem indoor collection under curated conditions.
